Ugly Shyla is another shining example of a Devilish Girl. As you can see, she's is kinda creepy...in a sexy, creepy kind of way...and we like that. She's a painter, doll maker, model and soon to be actress, and you can usually find her traveling around to various gothic events and conventions, selling her artwork.

ILD: So why do you call yourself Ugly Shyla? Now, I know your mamma didn't name you that.
Ugly Shyla: Well she kind of did actually, Shyla is my real name. I'm unfortunately not cool like all those other goth girls that have a real name like Cathy, so they can name themselves some thing "cool" like Mistress Azure. I got the Ugly part because of my bad attitude, because people tell me to quit being "ugly".

ILD: You're a model, an artist, doll maker extraordinaire...tell me about all that.
Ugly Shyla: I pretty much only consider myself a Artist. Really, the only reason I model or let people take my picture is because it's free publicity for my artwork. I basically model to whore my dolls. :)

ILD: Your paintings and dolls are very reminiscent of The Brothers Quay. Are they a big influence?
Ugly Shyla: I can remember seeing their short films on MTV as a kid and I really liked them but I never looked at them and though hell when I grow up I want to make stuff like that. I don't even know why I got into doll making. I didn't even really play with dolls as a kid. I'm a fan of people like Brothers Quay and Jan Svankmajer but I only got into them because they do things similar to mine not the other way around. I'd never copy off another artist. I HATE people that copy off of me so I'd never do it to some one else. It makes me want to kick people in the head.

ILD: Turn ons?
Ugly Shyla: Punk Rock boys, Greasers, Gothabilly boys, lots of tattoos especially in socially inappropriate places like the neck, face or hands, pierced nipples, allot of piercings, mohawks, artistic talent, androgyny.

ILD: Turn offs?
Ugly Shyla: Junkies, stupidity, bad fashion taste, laziness.

ILD: Drink of choice?
Ugly Shyla: Way too much Coca-cola.I also like tea.

ILD: Weapon of choice?
Ugly Shyla: I'm from the south, so a Gun of course :)

ILD: Have you ever killed? Do you eat what you kill?
Ugly Shyla: Shhhhh the cops don't need to know that!

IILD: What would you do with a million dollars?
Ugly Shyla: Blow it all on stupid crap like I do with all my money.

ILD: What does the future hold for Ugly Shyla? What are you currently working on?
Ugly Shyla: Along with hocking my dolls as different up coming crap. I'm also going to be filmed this month by the UK television program Sin Cities. Also myself and the lovely Dana Dark are going to Montana in August to be in a indie film noir movie. So I will have lots of cameras shoved in my face this year. LOL.

ILD: When was the last time you danced with the devil?
Ugly Shyla: Last Friday. Satan took the form of a green haired gay guy named Caleb.
